Yes, Another Heartbeat in the Home is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization. Our number is 39-3590161.
Donations are used to offset the costs of connecting senior citizens and senior dogs, including providing supplies, food, and financial support to ensure the pet has its needs met in the home without creating burdens for the senior citizen.
We use volunteers in a variety of capacities including serving as board members, speaking on behalf of the organization in the community, helping develop marketing and communications materials, and visiting with senior citizens to gain an understanding of their needs related to pet ownership. We definitely need in-kind donations, including collars, leashes, dog ramps and stairs, and dog food. Please email us at info@anotherheartbeat.org to discuss drop-off location or shipping.
